Dani Glennie

Dani is the firecracker of the Glennie family. If we’re telling tales out of school, here’s one about Dani: a few years ago she got in argument with Dennis in one of the yards (yes, shocking, but this does happen from time to time in a family business). When her older sister asked her how she handled it, she responded, “Well, I yelled. I cried. I jumped in his truck, bag drove it out of the yard and . . . I gave him a drive by ‘salute’.” Dani expresses her opinion and does a good job of holding her own in the family business. Dan was born in 1985 in Ste. Anne.
Her role in the family business is not only one of great expertise but also of great importance. She raises the nucs and queens each year – the nucs are the replacement queens and bees for the next year’s production season. Why is this so important? It helps make sure that Glory Bee always has strong bees each and every season, which helps boost production. It also cuts down on disease and other unwanted problems because they are raising their own “stock” for the future.
