Start of a "Sweet" Story

Talk about humble beginnings – Glory Bee started in 1997 in an old autobody shop in Marchwell, Saskatchewan with a mighty army of five employees . . . bet you can guess who that was (Dennis, Janine, Robin, Dani and Nate) and only 80 hives.
Friends talked the couple into trying out the business after Dennis spent 23 years in the grain buying business. Their intentions, however, were never to grow to where they are today.
“We never had any intentions of becoming this big. It was only going to be a couple hundred hives,” Janine said.
Today, the operation has grown far beyond a couple hundred hives and its founding five employees. With 2,800 hives, billions of bees, and a crew of close to 30 employees (including 10 workers from international destinations like Niagara, Argentina and Mexico), Glory Bee has far exceeded the wildest dreams the Glennies could have imagined for their little home-grown company.
